Meet the Team
Learn a bit about the people working hard to foster a tight-knit archaeological community at Cambridge and promote curiosity, knowledge, and intellectual enthusiasm at the university and beyond.
Liam is a 3rd year undergraduate studying archaeology and specializing in biological anthropology. He has a wide range of interests in and beyond biological anthropology and is especially interested in morality, prosociality, primatology, ancient introgression, and groupishness. He grew up in Chicago, is the host of a local 1930s and 40s swing music and history radio show, the captain of a frisbee team, an editor for two student run journals, and a dog lover.
Mia (she/her) is a 2nd year undergraduate in Archaeology, particularly interested in gender archaeology, social theory and heritage studies. She has been local to Cambridge her entire life where she works in a pub, volunteers in the town museum and teaches archaeology to underrepresented young people. She has keen interests in field hockey, Jane Austen and romcoms.
Hi I’m Mal (they/them). I’m the AFC’s social secretary and a second year archaeology student at Newnham. My current interests are in Palaeolithic behaviour and technology as well as a smidge of agricultural origins. I love ancient literature, Phoebe Bridgers, Tolkien and Formula 1.
